The Data We collect
The Data we collect is only the data that is necessary for us to respond to a query or fulfil a service to you. The only data we collect is data that you give to us in order to accomplish this. This data may include, name, e-mail address, contact numbers and address.
How we obtain the data and why?
We obtain this data through you when you contact us and provide the information we need in order to respond to a query, provide a quote or fulfil a service. This can be over the phone, via e-mail or messaging service. The contact form on our website will also only take the data you wish to input into it. No other extra data is obtained in anyway.
What we do with your data
We use the contact data – name, e-mail or phone numbers - to respond to any queries you have sent to us, to contact you in reference to quotes or services you have enquired about and to fulfil the service agreed upon. We will only need information such as your address to fulfil the service for you, once agreed. Contact information is not used for any other purpose than to respond to your query, we do not use it to market anything to you and we do not send it to any third party.
How we store your data
Your data once provided is stored within the e-mail provider / social media server via the platform you contacted us on, as well as a customer spreadsheet. This is securely contained on a stand-alone device that is password protected. The contact platforms are also secured on devices that are password protected as well as the platforms themselves having passwords. We are obligated to keep customer data for 6 years for accounting / tax records. Once this period is up, your data will be removed from our spreadsheet.
Your Data Rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
• Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
• Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.
• Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances, providing we do not need it for our business needs and other legal reasons.
• Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.
• Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
• Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances. You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
